| At the respective MDM centres located in the school premises, Weekly Menu has been enforced to bring flexibility and change in tastes conforming to the likes of the children of that particular region. There are also two menu committees. The committee at state level is headed by the Commissioner (MOM). |

| The committee had discussed various aspects of menu and also implication of S.C. judgment 196/2001, according to which a hot cooked meal has to be provided to children for minimum of 200 days. In view of this, implementing authority has been empowered to change menu according to the availability of oil, pulses and other foodgrains. |

| At district level, there is one district menu committee under the chairmanship of district Collector, for preparing a menu for district keeping in view the local availability, social habits and likes of the people. Every district Municipal corporations also have their own menu. |
