| The State Govt. has also introduced a scheme to provide food grains to the parents of tribal girl students which is being implemented through the Mid Day Meal Department and would be financed under T.A.S.P. Under this scheme, 60. kgs. of food grains it grown to the parents of tribal girl students who have 70% attendance level in the primary-schools. This schemes was objective is to increase the girls retention rates in the primary schools of the Tribal Area. The scheme is being implemented in the tribal area only. Expenditure of Rs.2160.00 lacs has been incurred to provide the benefit to about 5.03 lakh girl students during the year 2008-09. |
