Achievements of office of midday meal commission and schools in year 2008-09
An increment was approved for 23 granted and 180 non granted sections in higher secondary school.
In all 913 NOC were given for principal, assistant teacher and other assistants in secondary schools and higher secondary schools.
In the offices of state district education officers, divisional as well as administrative supervision was completed in 11 districts.
Transfer camps were organized for different class divisions during the year. It included 135 in class – 3 clerk division, 61 in teachers division, 9 in class – 4 division and 18 in teachers services class – 2 division, Demands of the officers were accepted in the camp.
In 43 cases orders for beneficial job appointments were given by the hands of Hon. Education Minister.
Audit of 784 schools for total 2352 years was completed. Here Rs. 3,72,81,580 was presented as amount receivable and Rs. 5,89,55,442 was presented as amount objectionable. Rs. 2,66,94,688 was collected from accounts receivable.
Under the class program of 10 computers per school, 3000 computers were provided in 300 schools.
Centrally rewarded Computer Excellency a national level award was given to Navrachana Vidyalaya, Vadodara by the hands of H.H. President.
Out of 860 application for increase in classes in std. 8, 9, 10 in granted secondary schools 600 were approved and 260 were rejected. Out of 505 applications from non granted schools 158 were approved and 68 were rejected.
22 divisional appeals were heard during the year.
Temporary – last pension were approved for 206 cases out of 317 cases in non government secondary schools.
Out of 401 cases 239 beneficial jobs were given approval in non government secondary schools.
40,760 Subject wise teachers in total 1019 classes were trained under the Karmayogi program as per the class 8 and class 11 new syllabus in one stage. Under this program subject experts were also trained in 21 classes.
Under the Gujarat state higher education scholarship program Rs. 38970 to 111 students, for economically backward class students under the E.B.C. scholarship program Rs. 8,85,000 to 2807 students, for bright students under the fellowship program Rs. 2,14,505 to 145 students and for educational expenses of children of past soldiers Rs. 39,966 to 16 students were spent.
Inter institutional sports festival was celebrated in 6 C.P.Ed. granted institutes.
In all the state physical education institutes trainees were involved under the Sakshardeep program.
